Meet Sheri Lopez: A Survivor, Advocate, and Powerful Voice for Change.
Invite Sheri Lopez to your next event and hear her powerful, heartfelt story as a survivor of child grooming and human trafficking. Sheri’s lived experience is not just compelling, it’s a vital message that brings awareness, education, and hope. She speaks openly, honestly, and in a non-graphic way, making her an ideal speaker for audiences of all backgrounds.
Sheri shares what many people don’t realize, how child grooming really happens, the tactics groomers use to trap their victims, and how easy it is for these situations to go unnoticed, even by loving parents. At just 15 years old, Sheri was groomed by her high school boyfriend’s father for over three months, then trafficked for seven years, three of which she spent living at home while her parents had no idea what was happening.
Her story doesn’t stop there. After turning 18, she was sold to three additional traffickers and forced into high-end trafficking circles. Her journey finally ended when a courageous woman named Pearl intervened and helped rescue her at a mailbox—the moment that changed Sheri’s life forever.
Today, Sheri is on a mission to protect children and prevent others from experiencing what she endured. She is passionate about raising awareness, educating communities, and working toward stronger laws that safeguard kids from grooming and trafficking.
Sheri has been featured on numerous podcasts, radio shows, news articles, and television programs, where she shares her story and advocates for change. She has testified before the U.S. Congressional Judiciary Committee on human trafficking, drafted and helped pass several laws in Arizona to protect children and survivors, and continues to work on federal legislation. Sheri was even invited to the White House to witness the signing of legislation she helped bring to life.
She is the author of her memoir 'Pearl at the Mailbox;, a children’s book about safe and unsafe touch, her educational book for parents, teachers and community leaders titled - 'From Victim to Voice', and her soon-to-be-released book 6,000, where she bravely shares her memories of being sold to predators 6,000 times. Through her work, Sheri continues to bring awareness, fight for change, and give a voice to those who need it most.
