Online Grooming Awareness & Prevention Training

This evidence-informed, survivor-led training provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of grooming with the intent to exploit and its role as the precursor to trafficking and abuse. Designed for parents, educators, youth-serving professionals, advocates, and community members, the course focuses on early identification, prevention, and appropriate response.
Participants will examine the behavioral patterns and tactics commonly used by groomers to gain access, establish trust, test boundaries, isolate victims, and normalize harmful behavior. Instruction addresses both in-person and online grooming dynamics, with specific emphasis on social media, gaming platforms, messaging applications, live streaming, and other digital environments where grooming frequently occurs.
The course emphasizes practical application. Participants will learn to identify red flags, apply trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate responses, reinforce healthy boundaries, and determine when intervention, documentation, referral, or reporting may be necessary.
