Pearl at the Mailbox is a survivor-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing and interrupting grooming before exploitation begins.
We believe prevention starts long before someone is trafficked. It begins when a parent recognizes that something feels wrong, an educator notices a change, or a community learns to recognize the warning signs of grooming.
Through survivor-informed education, books, training, and community outreach, we are working to reach vulnerable individuals before exploitation happens.

Pearl at the Mailbox began with one survivor's determination to prevent others from experiencing what she endured, but prevention is only part of creating lasting change.
Founded by human trafficking survivor Sheri Lopez, the Arizona Human Trafficking Survivor Coalition (AZHTCO) grew from Pearl at the Mailbox's mission to bring survivors and supporters together to advocate for stronger laws and meaningful legislative change throughout Arizona.
While Pearl at the Mailbox focuses on preventing exploitation through education, Arizona Human Trafficking Survivor Coalition focuses on strengthening the laws that protect vulnerable individuals, support survivors, and hold those responsible for exploitation accountable.
