Support Pearl at the Mailbox Through a Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you are age 70½ or older and have an IRA, there may be a tax-advantaged way to support the prevention work of Pearl at the Mailbox.
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows eligible individuals to make a gift directly from an IRA to a qualified charitable organization such as Pearl at the Mailbox. A qualifying QCD may also count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), if applicable.

How to Make a Gift From Your IRA
Contact your IRA custodian or financial advisor and tell them you would like to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly to Pearl at the Mailbox.

Your IRA custodian should make the payment directly to Pearl at the Mailbox. The IRS has specific requirements for a distribution to qualify as a QCD.

IRA checks don't always clearly identify the person who made the gift. If you make a QCD to Pearl at the Mailbox, please contact us with your name, gift amount, and the name of your IRA custodian so we can properly acknowledge your generosity.
